Dr. Barry Goldlist
Dr. Barry Goldlist is currently an honorary staff member at Sinai Health and a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto (U of T).
Dr. Goldlist received his Medical Degree and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at U of T. He was a staff geriatrician at the University Health Network (UHN) from 1979 to 2025 and at Sinai Health from 2009 to 2025. He previously served as Director of Geriatrics at Sinai Health, Toronto Rehab and UHN and as the Director of the Division of Geriatrics at U of T. Dr. Goldlist has served as President of the Canadian Geriatrics Society and chair of the Specialty Committee in Geriatrics at the Royal College. He is a fellow of the Canadian Geriatrics Society, American Geriatrics Society and the American College of Physicians. The founding editor-in-chief of two journals, Geriatrics and Aging, and the Canadian Geriatrics Society Journal of CME, his scholarly interests focus on supporting older patients with dementia and their caregivers.
